SUMMARY OF 2005 REAL ESTATE
ACTIVITY IN BOYLANHEIGHTS
Two thousand and five was a banner
year for properties sold in BoylanHeights. A total of 28
properties were sold in 2005 compared with 16 in 2004 and 13 in 2003. Out of
the total properties sold in 2005 all were residential except one commercial
property- Raleigh Saw Company - which sold for over a half million dollars.
Residential properties alone netted sales of over 6 million dollars. Homes sold
for a range of $79,500 to $680,000. The average sale price was $248,222
(compared to $198,846 in 2003.)
The
2005 residential sales square footage ranged from 910 sq ft to 4,394 sq.
ft.The average was 1,912 sq. ft. The
price per square foot in 2005 for all residential property sold was $130. The
range was from $87 to $220 per square foot. (If you subtract from the equation
the highest and lowest selling residential properties and calculate what
remains the average sale price was $237,700, the average sq. ft was 1,544 and
the price per square foot was $154.)
